The White Street townhouses, nestled in the heart of Mordialloc, embrace a utopian amalgamation of the coastal and urban landscape ideals. The façade and design is intended to embody a strength and its rectilinear volumes reference timeless architectural vernaculars. Welcoming the views of the grand eucalyptus tree at the front of the site. Using materiality to juxtapose a more traditional masonry aesthetic of well-proportioned façade fenestrations against contemporary elements and detailing.
The purposeful slots between townhouses is exemplary of the design strategy to create an individual home experience for each dwelling. Appealing to a younger market a contemporary approach to the spatial planning internally provides a spaciousness that is always sought but sometimes compromised on for location. The interiors have been designed alongside the architecture where Soft accents of timber and stone are applied in the minimalist styled spaces alongside v-groove joinery to create a warmth that natural materials and light colours provide and also connecting the houses to their beachside context.
